The Versatility of Farrow & Ball Paint
We are a huge fan of Farrow & Ball Paint at Bow Boutique. Its sophisticated colour palette and quality of product makes it a ‘go-to’ brand when embarking on new creative projects.
Whether you are looking to create some unique festive decorations for the home, like this simple idea with pine cones in the video above, or looking to redecorate a room ready for the festive season, the Farrow & Ball range of paint colours and wallpaper designs really do ensure that the finished article with ooze with style and sophistication for many different interior looks.
The example above is from our own Furniture Collection available to buy online. This classic bureau has been transformed from a solid, and sturdy piece of furniture that was looking a little dated, to a stylish and sophisticated piece of furniture that offers elegance along with practical storage for a living room, office space, or home study.
We have used Farrow & Ball Manor House Grey, with their complimentary Silvergate 852 wallpaper to create an interesting and stylish decoupage front to the drawers, and a we love the dark and dramatic effect of Railings for the interior.
We have also chosen to keep the original drop handles, which we have resprayed with a soft Champagne gold, to update the look but keep a nod to its original style. There are many brands of spray paint out there buy we particularly like the range of colours and finishes available in the Rust-oleum Range, available to buy from B&Q.
Seasonal Ideas with Farrow & Ball Paint
Earlier in the year, we were redressing our window display on the run up to Halloween, but the thought of pumpkin carving (anyone else regret that as soon as you start it?!), and the fact that the longevity of carved pumpkins isn’t that long (eewww!) we decided to paint our pumpkin designs straight onto a fresh uncut pumpkin. And what better colour range to use to co-ordinate perfectly with our window display at the time…..Farrow & Ball of course!
Here we used Nancy’s Blushes, Railings, Wevet, Manor House Grey, and a Gold Metallic Pen! We think they turned out really quite nicely! and whatsmore, because we didn’t cut into the pumpkins, they lasted for weeks! We also used a combination of both matt emulsion and estate eggshell as we used ends of pots we had already, and i think the contrast of both finishes mixed in with the metallic element too works beautifully and make for a unique contemporary interiors accessory, personal to your colour scheme and home.
Here are a few examples of our furniture collection at Bow Boutique, Matlock, all using Farrow & Ball Paints. Each Piece is a one-off upcycled piece, but please do get in touch if you are interested in something that has sold to ask about our commissioned furniture service.
